An Inspiring Poem.....

This is a poem that inspired Nelson Mandela during his years in jail. Its really soul searching.Thought I should share it somewhere.

INVICTUS...

Its FOSSMeet time again at NITC

Finally FOSSMeet@NITC 2010 kicked off today evening after months of hard work and hardcore organizing. God only knows how many permissions we took and how many mails we sent. Behind all this we had only one thought in mind- increase the participation substantially this year. And looking at the number of external participation we have got we understand that hardwork always pays. Only well planned ,well worked out organizing process can result in an event being called a success. Looking at the kind of beginning we've got we think we are surely on the right path. Hope this continues next year as well.
Apart from the long dry speech by the mla, which was more like an election propaganda than anything else the inaugural ceremony can be termed a success. After all the formalities we had a wonderful talk by Sasikumar sir from SPACE, Trivandrum giving a heartwarming introduction to the FOSS Philosophy.

A post at last....

Now I begin to realise the truth behind the words that necessity is the father of creation. Sitting here in ma hostel room all alone with only my laptop as a company has finally brought out the necessity- I need to speak with someone even if it is me. So the only way out-write a post. So after 6 long months Im finally and that is FINALLY im writing something for ma blog. Everyone especially mallus like me have gone home except for a few souls like me. I decided to stay back to see NITC in isolation and it is not a good picture. I thought it would be really nice to do what the northies are being subjected to during every one of these holidays. I feel pity for them. Dunno how they burn the time!!
This is my first day of my christmas holidays in college. Though Ihave said all that above I kind of like it anyway. The freedom that you get roaming around campus nobody looking on your back, only the soul of the college to give you company. Anyway I have a hectic job anyway of watching 80 GB of movies within these five days till monday. Hope I achieve my target!

Finally im posting something....................................

Finally I have got the time to post something on my blog. But the time I have chosen for it is not at all right! I have an exam coming up next week and I am sitting here in front of a system and entering the first post on my blog. Ah leave it ...... I have always loved to write and it was only recently that the idea struck me that why not write a blog! and lo I have this in front of me. But how i would be able to frequently post on it is a thing that requires further thinking. But one thing is sure this is not the last one.....

National Institute of Technology Calicut......The place where my dream is being materialised.


Though i am only five months old(at the point I started writing this entry though its one year now! Ha 6 months for one post. How very encouraging. But no from now on i am gonna write a lot.T his is a promise i have made to myself!!!) in this great insti I have that great gut feeling that this place is gonna do rocking things in my life. Frankly I never wanted to come to this place at the onset because i never wanted to study in my home state. But soon over this past year I have realised that they were just whims of my troubled mind. By now I have got a hold of everything and I am enjoying my stay here at NITC more than everything else. Now I have started to believe in destiny (as said by Poelo Coelho!) which put me here in the first instant. I have been feeling an air of self confidence, hope and a yearning to do something good with my life from the moment I stepped into this insti. So my first post is a tribute to NITC though I have to say the temple that put me here and has made me to write this down is of course my sweet alma mater, my school, my dear Christ Nagar which does not need any description to prove itself. Bow to thee my alma mater.

So there goes my first post and i am gonna keep posting from today on as i have a lot to say which i have been waiting to pen down for quite some time now. I just had this starting trouble.
